The St. Joe’s Jaguars are putting together something never seen before inside their gymnasium this weekend.
Coach Gerry Benoit says St. Joseph’s Catholic High School is inviting the community in for a first-ever Tri-Meet for their Junior and Senior Boys Basketball teams, this Saturday, December 9th, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Benoit explains that the day is a perfect chance to get the Jaguars ready as the high school basketball season gets underway this week.
He also mentions that the event will feature a good mixture of both familiar and new faces that will test the mettle of the St. Joe’s players.
Benoit says that it’s an exciting opportunity for Pontiac High School, which is sending its basketball team to its first games on this side of the Ottawa River in some time.
He’s also invited some special guests to add to the experience, which he hopes will be bolstered by the community showing up to pack the St. Joe’s gym.
Benoit notes that attending the first-ever St. Joseph’s Jaguars Tri-Meet is as easy as walking through the front door and turning left towards the gymnasium; no sign-ins are necessary.
