Nothing refreshes like a Coca Cola- unless of course, it’s “Reverend Hughes Refreshing Cause.”
Reverend Hughes is the consummate Presbyterian minister- and at age 93, he’s held that title in the Arnprior community for more years than most of us can imagine.
Bruce Bidgood, with the Arnprior Lions Club, is the Project Chairperson for an idea conceived by Reverend Hughes and his recently deceased spouse. Together, the couple came up with the plan to donate the proceeds of Reverend’s collection of Coca Cola memorabilia to the CT scanner initiative at Arnprior Regional Health.
Bidgood says it’s not technically a “sale”
The whole initiative begins this morning with store-opening at the Arnprior Mall, and continues until the end of January- or while supplies last.
The Project Chairperson already knows the idea is a gold mine.
Bruce Bidgood says it’s a vast collection, valued between 10 and 20 thousand dollars; in fact so big, two service clubs are involved.
The Project Chairperson says a lot of folks may be getting Coca-Cola themed gifts this Christmas.
Bidgood says you can visit Reverend Hughes Refreshing Cause at the Arnprior Mall starting Wednesday, and maybe even chat up the Reverend himself while you’re there.
