Killaloe OPP are putting the blame on icy conditions on a pair of recent car crashes in Madawaska Valley.
That includes a single car crash on Wilno South Road near Inukshuk Road at around 10:00 a.m. of November 13th that saw the 21-year-old Killaloe driver avoid injury after losing control and rolling over.
Then, just after 7:00 p.m. on November 15th, a 48-year-old from Combermere would strike a rock cut after losing control of their truck on Combermere Road near Dixie Lake Road. They were sent to hospital with minor injuries.
Both cars would need to be towed away.
Police would cap the week off by responding to another crash, this time along Highway 60 near Old Trestle Road in Killaloe, Hagarty, and Richards.
Just after 5:00pm back on November 17th, officers were sent to the Highway, where they learned a passenger car and an SUV were nearing an intersection while traveling eastbound when the car struck the rear of the SUV.
The 53-year-old from Barry’s Bay driving the car was charged with following too closely contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
One driver would be treated at the scene for minor injuries, and one vehicle required towing.
