The Renfrew Public Library
A long-running holiday tradition has returned to the Renfrew Public Library.
The Library is partnering with Family & Children’s Services of Renfrew County for their Holiday Gift Program, which ensures kids and youth in need have something to open up on Christmas Day.
Collections Coordinator Emily Krosse tells myFM how you can help.
The program is designed to help families across Renfrew County provide gifts to children from birth to the age of 16 years old, as well as youth from 16 to 21 who live independently and might not otherwise get a gift this season.
Krosse says people looking to give back to the community are encouraged to check in regularly as more anonymous gift requests are place placed on the light-up angel tree at the main entrance.
Not only can you make a difference in the life of an underprivileged child in the community, but you don’t even need to fuss with the wrapping paper.
If you’re interested in the program or have any questions, Krosse says the library’s staff is always happy to help at the Adult Circulation Desk.
