A throwback to the old school days of professional wrestling takes over the Renfrew Armouries on November 4th.
Great North Wrestling returns to the Ottawa Valley with a fight card packed with excitement, according to Vice President Jack Kilby.
That includes the return of former WWE tag team champion and GNW Canadian Champion René Dupree, who will be facing a young talent who is quickly catching the attention of the wrestling world.
This year has been a celebration for Great North Wrestling, as they’ve now been in operation for 15 years, which Kilby says is an uncommonly long time for an independent wrestling company to be around for.
He says a focus on in-ring ability that is sure to delight both seasoned wrestling fans and newcomers to the sport is a big reason for that longevity.
Although Kilby admits that it’s an old pro wrestling cliché, he says the evening’s entertainment will be enjoyable for “ages 8 to 80.”
The doors will open at the Renfrew Armouries building along Veterans Memorial Boulevard starting at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4th, and Kilby says tickets are available online right now.
First-row tickets at ringside are $40 each plus tax, while general admission for the second row onward is $20 plus tax.
