Renfrew’s historic caboose will be the center of attention this weekend.
Town Councilor Andrew Dick says that he will join the friends of the Friends of the O’Brien Road Caboose outside Howard K. Haramis Park as they continue to raise money towards completing the caboose’s new paint job.
He adds that there is still work to be done on the caboose, which is currently missing a few important details.
He even joked with his fellow councilors at their meeting on Tuesday, October 10th, that he may be dressing up for the occasion, although perhaps not by choice.
You’re invited to drop by from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14th, for live music, fun and games, food from the Piggy Shack, and historic displays inside the nearby Visitors Information Centre for you to discover and enjoy.
Donations in support of the ongoing refurbishment of the caboose are welcome and will be accepted all day.
