A popular program for some of Renfrew’s youngest residents is adding a new day to their schedule.
Community Outreach and Programs Coordinator Janyne Fraser tells myFM that their Kindergym circuit training class at the Argyle Street Recreation Centre is coming to Saturday mornings starting on October 7th.
She tells us more about what Kindergym gives local kids aged 2 to 5.
Each run of the Kindergym program is five weeks long, with the Saturday sessions joining their Wednesday classes as well as their tandem meet-ups on Thursdays for kids who still need their parents close by.
Fraser says it’s all about adding ways to keep Renfrew and area kids active while developing their balance, strength, and coordination.
There are some spaces open for the first Saturday set starting this weekend, but Fraser says not to worry if you miss out.
Each five-week program is open to residents of Renfrew, Admaston/Bromley, Greater Madawaska, McNab/Braeside, and Horton for $50 per kid. Non-residents can also take part for an additional fee.
Registration can be done online through the town’s recreation catalogue, as well as in person at the Renfrew Rec Centre at 67 Argyle Street South.
