It was a welcome addition to Packers and Rivermen home games last season- the ability to serve alcohol, within certain restrictions, at home games at the Nick Smith Centre.
Recreation Director Graeme Ivory gives us the Town’s perspective.
Ivory acknowledges that the clubs had a lot of logistic hoops to jump through.
One of the arguments presented is that the associated costs and related paperwork would be less under the municipal umbrella, according to Rivermen owner Adrian Moyes.
The Recreation Director isn’t ruling out the possibility of a Town takeover- he’s just putting the genie back in the bottle.
Ivory says there’s nothing to prevent the status quo as it was worked out last year.
The Recreation Director says municipal involvement could also be complicated.
