A generous resident’s remarkable pledge of $225,000 to the Deep River & District Hospital’s “Closer To Home” campaign has propelled the initiative closer to its $2.5 million goal. James Thompson, DRDH’s Community Engagement & Fundraising Coordinator, joined myFM news to express his gratitude to their incredible donors:
This generous contribution marks a significant milestone, pushing the campaign past the $1 million mark, making it 41.6% complete with two years remaining.
The campaign’s primary aim is to construct a 96-bed Long-Term Care Home in Deep River, a move that will bolster Provincial funding while addressing community needs. Thompson said, “We achieved this special $1M mark together—970 gifts in total have been received so far.”
Donors have the opportunity to earn a place on the esteemed “Legacy Builders of the Four Seasons Lodge” donor wall. For information on joining, please call 613-584-3333 x7140 or visit drdhfoundation.com/closer-to-home.
This Long-Term Care Home promises to alleviate waitlists and keep the community connected. Stay tuned for more “Closer To Home” updates from DRDHF, as they continue to make strides toward their ambitious goal.
