With the fall colours coming in soon, it might be a good time to surprise yourself on a journey through the region.
Jen Sloan of Unexpected Journeys joined myFM in the Morning to talk about the one-day, self-guided tours that her company offers people looking to create memories and explore the Ottawa and Outaoauis area.
Most of the starting destinations included with the tour packages are between 35 minutes and a couple of hours away from most communities in Renfrew County, and each tour comes with an itinerary of recommended accommodations and other interesting spots along the way if you want to extend the trip.
She explains that the premise behind her work is all about discovering hidden gems and creating memories.
There are 11 packages to choose from in total, with options tailored for solo travelers, couples, and families, as well as for people with accessibility needs.
