A section of Highway 60 (Raglan Street South) in downtown Renfrew will be closed between Railway Avenue and Munroe Avenue from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023.
The road closure is required for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 148 in Renfrew as they host a Remembrance Day ceremony that is being recorded for a national commercial.
A parade is planned along Raglan Street South from the Legion Branch to the Cenotaph in Low Square.
Residents are invited and encouraged to watch the parade and attend the ceremony but are reminded to wear warm clothing as the filming is supposed to replicate a real Remembrance Day ceremony in November.
The Ontario Provincial Police will assist with traffic control and vehicles will be detoured from Raglan Street South to Plaunt Street South via Railway Avenue and Munroe Avenue.
Duke Avenue and Patrick Avenue will also be closed to restrict vehicle access to Raglan Street South.
