Highway 17 has reopened after another multi-vehicle crash forced police to close off a section in Cobden on Monday, August 28th.
Local police first reported that the accident had shut down the highway from Main Street to Turcotte Road just before 4:00pm on Monday, and detours would be in place until it was fully cleared after their investigation wrapped up just before 1:00am the next morning.
It’s the second multi-car accident along Highway 17 in the past few days, as Renfrew OPP reports that an 83-year-old driver was sent to the hospital with serious injuries following a separate crash on O’Brien Road over the weekend.
More details are expected from the OPP.
