Imagine your classic car or truck looking right at home as it appears in an upcoming movie.
“Pictures of Us,” a gritty love story from the people who filmed “Painted Sharks” in the area two years ago, needs a certain era of wheels for exterior shots in Pembroke happening this weekend, according to producer Anna Mary Gratton.
Any car, truck, van, or motorcycle is welcome as long as they fit the early 1980’s setting the film takes place in.
Gratton says that they have been casting a wide net to attract vintage rides from all over the Ottawa Valley, but also admits that they are competing with another nearby event to bring them in.
She says that there has been interest from local car buffs, and she is hoping the unique opportunity to have their prized possessions appear in a feature-length film is as compelling to them as it was to her when the crew filmed in her neighbourhood.
Vehicles will be needed for a full 10:00am to 6:00pm day of filming along Mary St. in Pembroke, rain or shine, on both Saturday, August 26th, and Sunday, August 27th. A lunch will be provided for people who bring their cars in for the shoots, as long as you get in touch with them as soon as possible so they can work out the logistics.
If you’re interested in having your classic car appear in the film, contact Lutes Cousins Films at info@lutescousinsfilms.com or by calling 613-281-1063.
