Local police are reminding residents that there is help for people living in an abusive relationship.
That comes after officers with Renfrew OPP responded to a domestic call in Admaston-Bromley at around 3:00am on Saturday, August 19th.
One person would be arrested and held for bail on two counts of assault, and one each for mischief and failure to comply with probation orders .
Renfrew OPP are urging people who are in an abusive relationship to call the Bernadette McCann House 24/7 for support, advice, or the safety of a shelter at 1-800-267-4930, the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is also available 24/7 for information and support at 1-800-663-3060, or emotional and practical assistance from Victim Services of Renfrew County at 613-649-2852.
You could also go to the emergency department of any hospital in Renfrew County and ask to speak with a member of the Assault Response Team.
