Bryson’s Winter Festival went well in spite of the extreme cold, and now they are hoping for another great turnout in early August.
The Pontiac village is hosting their 150th anniversary Summer Festival, and volunteer Meghan Griffin says that very anniversary has produced something unique from Bryson’s many volunteer groups.
Griffin tells myFM that the 10 days of the Summer Festival will feature local musicians and DJs, a stunt show, a lumberjack competition, events in the park and at the beach, plus much more, all for free.
Preparations have been ongoing since last year, as the village has banded together for a special experience celebrating a local heritage that runs just six years shy of the 1867 Confederation of Canada itself.
Bryson’s Summer Festival is a completely free event that runs from August 4th through the 13th, and Griffin says the entire Ottawa Valley is invited to drop in and enjoy their hidden gem in the Pontiac.
