With 96.1 myFM moving to the newly minted myFM Centre at Ma-te-Way Park in the near future, our current building has now gone on the market.
Jon Pole, the Owner and President of My Broadcasting Corporation, says the history of the current myFM office on 321 Raglan Street South includes a start as a dry goods store, a Radio Shack, and two generations of local radio.
The downtown Renfrew building features over 4000 square feet of space across three floors with office areas, a board room, meeting rooms, and a staff kitchen in just myFM’s section alone. The property also features a 1100-square-foot space facing the front of the building on Raglan Street that is being leased by a long-term financial services tenant.
While it may not be a “plug-and-play” situation for everyone, Pole believes there are certain businesses that would be a perfect fit.
He adds that there are ideas on how to use the space should myFM decide to keep the building, but he doesn’t want the company to become more of a landlord than necessary while operating radio stations across the province.
The listing for the property also notes that it has solar panels on the roof that generate income, as well as central air and natural gas heat.
The closing date for a potential sale has yet to be determined.
