Town Staff in Renfrew have an update on construction happening along Lochiel Street.
Starting Monday, July 10th, work to install the new watermain for the street will begin starting from Munroe Avenue West to Patrick Avenue.
Crews have been in the area setting up a temporary watermain and doing exploratory work since last month.
Traffic will need to keep in mind that Lochiel Street will remain closed at those intersections for the next few weeks as construction continues.
The work is part of a large scale watermain replacement on Lochiel and Argyle Streets, as well as parts of Hall Avenue and Opeongo Road.
If you have any concerns related to the project or require special accessibility accommodations, you can reach out to project manager Connor Jamieson by email.
Both he and the Town of Renfrew are thanking residents for their patience and cooperation.
