Baseball fans, all eyes will be on Pembroke during the first week of July. The Upper Ottawa Valley Little League will be hosting the Ontario Provincial Senior Little League Championship at Riverside Park beginning July 5th. District Administrator Lisa McMillan tells myFM news that this is a big deal for the area.
McMillan also tells myFM news that it’s an honor to be the host.
The organizing committee is hoping a lot of baseball fans will attend the games.
It’s been decades since the last time the championship was held in Pembroke and organizers are hoping this will help reinstate that the Upper Ottawa Valley is still a strong baseball community.
