The town of Renfrew has greenlit the next steps for the Hunter Gate subdivision.
On Tuesday, June 13, Director of Development and Environment Eric Withers walked town council through an Early Servicing Agreement for Hunter Gate Phases 5 and 6 with M. Wilson Home Developments.
The agreement will let the developer begin to install watermains, both storm and sanitary sewers, as well as roads, for the final two stages of the multi-year development of homes taking place along the east end of Hall Avenue.
Withers would go on to explain how the town benefits from entering into the agreement simply through the assurance it brings.
Reeve Peter Emon notes that it’s not an unusual thing to see for projects that are close to being ready.
While servicing can now begin for Hunter Gate Phases 5 and 6, Town Council’s approval will still be needed before lots can be divided or construction can begin on the 94 expected new homes that are expected to come as a result of shovels going into the ground.
