The Sûreté du Québec say heavy rain played a part in a head-on collision along Route 148.
Emergency services were called out to the road just north of Renfrew at around 9:50pm on Monday, June 12th, where two cars travelling on a sharp curve collided, causing them to spin off the road and into a ditch.
A passenger in one of the vehicles would be taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say that the rain not only reduced visibility to almost zero, but a large quantity of water on the road greatly increased the chance for the cars to lose control due to hydroplaning.
