It the first of what Renfrew OPP are hoping will be many golf tournaments supporting local charities.
Constable Briana Roberge says the 911 Swing for a Cause takes to the Renfrew Golf Club on Friday, June 16th.
It’s set to be a full day of golf featuring lunch and dinner flanking the 1:00pm shotgun start, as well as plenty of fun and games and live entertainment.
Roberge adds that sponsors have been eager to join in for the day, which means plenty of prizes, goodies, and more for golfers taking part.
The inaugural Swing for a Cause will support the Renfrew and District Food Bank, who Roberge says are always in need of an extra boost outside of the holidays.
You’re invited to take part, too, as tickets are still available through the Renfrew Golf Club for $125 per person.
Roberge says the tournament will give our local detachment a chance to give back to a different local charity each year while also being a chance to connect with other emergency services outside of the usually stressful situations they’re often called to.
