They will be rolling out the red carpet at the Renfrew Armouries on Saturday, June 17th.
That’s when Renfrew County Voices for People with Developmental Disabilities is hosting their formal gala, themed “A Night in Hollywood.”
Charlene Riopelle, one of the evening’s organizers, gives us a run down on an event that sounds like it could win an award for best stage design.
You’re invited to drop by for a night of glitz and glamour when the doors and the bar opens at 5:30. Soon after, dinner will be served thanks to Schmidt’s catering and dancing follows soon after with Dandee Music as the evening’s DJ and a silent auction which wraps up as the event comes to a close.
Lisa Duggan, also with Renfrew County Voices, says that calls for donations and help putting the event together have been met with amazing response from the community, who have supplied plenty of donations and items for the auction.
She says even the Town of Renfrew itself has pitched in, ensuring the night is one to remember for all the people with special needs taking part.
Riopelle adds that your purchase of two tickets will also cover the cost for a special needs person attending. That being said, Renfrew County Voices is doing what they can to make sure nobody misses out.
Tickets can be bought right now at Ray’s Flowers, the Flower Factory, and Pick-It Fence. More information can be found by calling Renfrew County Voices at 613-433-4082.
