The Oncology Department at the Pontiac Hospital in Shawville has recently been expanded, thanks to the combined efforts of CISSS Outaouais and the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation. The improvement of the space now makes it possible to add two additional chairs, for a potential total of nine, due to the nearly $30,000 investment. In addition to making it possible to offer a quality and safe service to users who come to the hospital’s oncology facilities, the care team will be better organized in more spacious facilities. In a context where cancer affects more people, it is imperative to offer local services proportionate to the needs of the population. The Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation believes it a step forward in improving the quality of services offered to the community. CISSS Outaouais says it’s proof the Pontiac community takes its local health services to heart.
