The Options Skilled Trades Fair returns Wednesday for the first time since 2019. Opening ceremonies kick off at the Pembroke Memorial Centre at 8:30 and Manager of Community and Student Affairs at Algonquin College in Pembroke, Jamie Bramburger tells myFM that even though they had to break during covid, they are back to where they left off.
More than 1500 high middle and high school students, approximately 150 senior high school student skills competitors, employers, educators, skilled trades judges, general public. Bramburger goes on to say that Options comes at a good time as the need for skilled trades workers has never been higher.
The event, which is a partnership between Algonquin College’s Pembroke Waterfront Campus and the four District School Boards, has been held for more than 20 years.
