The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has released the identity of the victim of a homicide in the Town of Renfrew.
Deceased is Jonathan Logan, 41-years-old of Renfrew County.
Police continue to investigate the death, which happened shortly before 10:30PM last Friday night (May 19th) at a home on Vimy Boulevard.
Officers found a victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Police believe the victim was targeted.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and remains at large.
The investigation continues with a number of unit is involved: the Renfrew OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch; the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Centre of Forensic Sciences. Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit are also assisting.
