A 47-year-old from Pembroke has been arrested and charged in connection to thefts from two retail stores in Eganville. Upper Ottawa Valley OPP were called out on Sunday. Police caught up with the robber on Highway 41 the same day. They found a quantity of stolen property was recovered including electronics and groceries. Ian Hopper has since been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with probation.
