The Ottawa Valley Tourist Association (OVTA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 Ottawa Valley Tourism Awards. This year, hardware was handed out in six categories:
The Tourism Champion Award winner was Teresa Hebb, of the Renfrew County ATV Club.
Business or Organization of the Year Award winners were the Madawaska Kanu Centre.
Chosen as Event of the Year, the Pembroke Multicultural Festival.
Selected as Sustainability Champion Award winner, Somewhere Inn, Calabogie.
The New Tourism Product Award was bagged by Rio Tap & Grill for its Rooftop Patio.
The Tourism Marketing Award went to Oh-el-la Café, represented by Ella Gukes; it’s an award created for a member who has implemented an exceptional digital marketing or promotional strategy.
The OVTA would like to thank all nominators for taking the time and consideration to publicly recognize the talents and drive of those in the tourism industry. This highlights how a thriving tourism industry plays an invaluable role in a healthy local economy.
