Optimism is high for local businesses as we head further from the pandemic.
The Renfrew and Area Chamber of Commerce held their Annual General Meeting inside Town Hall on Tuesday, March 14th, and Chamber President Carol-Ann Adams says the 40 people attendance were in good spirits.
The Chamber, like other local businesses, has had to adapt to the quickly changing economic landscape, but Adams says they remain committed to being the voice of business in town and giving their members the tools they need to succeed.
Adams adds that the Chamber of Commerce is committed to improving communication between Chamber staff and members this year through monthly networking events and other meet-ups.
Their Annual General Meeting was also marked by a pair of guest speakers joining the Chamber discussions as local businesses look ahead to more traffic through Renfrew.
Adams tells myFM that the biggest announcement of the day came as the Chamber of Commerce made an official announcement regarding their new location.
At a recent Town Council meeting, Renfrew’s Chief Administrative Officer Rob Tremblay had named the Chamber as one of three anchor businesses who signed a letter of intent to be part of the Business Hub taking over the former OPP Detachment within Town Hall.
