A unique wrinkle in the rulebook will take effect when the Renfrew Wolves hosts Brockville tonight, Wednesday, February the 22nd.
Head Coach Ryan Leonard says tonight’s matchup settles a game that was called off in the first intermission last week due to issues with the arena’s Zamboni doors.
Leonard says you won’t need a ticket stub from the first attempt at this matchup to get in, tonight’s game is free for everyone to attend.
They’ll also be inviting students from three local schools back to the Ma-te-Way Activity Centre to finish up a promotion started last week.
Because the original game ended after the first intermission, the league rules say the two sides will play a full 60 minutes while fielding the same rosters as they had last week.
That means the Wolves will hand goaltender duties to their recently acquired back-up, Aaron Matthews.
The rulebook also states that the game will resume with the same score and penalty time remaining before things were called off.
Renfrew starts up 1-0 and on the penalty kill for 11 seconds when things get underway at the MAC tonight at 7:00.
