Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of the Ottawa Valley.
The snowfall warning covers Renfrew, Arnprior, Calabogie, Barry’s Bay, Killaloe and the surrounding areas with 15 to 20 cm of snowfall expected.
There is also a snowfall warning for the City of Ottawa which will likely cause a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
Cobden, Pembroke, Petawawa, Deep River and the surrounding areas are under a winter weather travel advisory with anywhere from 5 to 12 cm of snowfall expected.
Environment Canada says a Texas low will bring heavy snow to the area late this afternoon before snow tapers into flurries Thursday afternoon.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult and isolated power outages are also possible.
