Charges have been laid in a stolen vehicle case. On Tuesday, OPP say they were given a report of a stolen vehicle from a home on Bank Street in Renfrew. Upper Ottawa Valley OPP located the vehicle in Pembroke the following day. The driver of the vehicle attempted to evade police shortly after. As a result, 21-year-old Aidan O’Ryan is now facing a number of charges.
• Dangerous operation, contrary to section 320.13(1) of the Criminal Code (CC)
• Fail to comply with probation order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC
• Flight from police, contrary to section 320.17 of the CC
• Possession property obtained by crime over $5000- in Canada, contrary to
section 354(1)(a) of the CC
• Possession property obtained by crime under $5000- in Canada, contrary to
section 354(1)(a) of the CC
• Theft over $5000 of a motor vehicle, contrary to section 334(a) of the CC
• Use of credit card, contrary to section 342(1)(c) of the CC
The accused was held for bail.
