Local police say a man is in custody after a peculiar night in Horton Township.
Renfrew OPP responded to a home in Horton at around 3:00am on Sunday, January 15th after someone noticed a suspicious man on their doorstep who they thought might have been intoxicated.
Police would eventually find the man, a 34-year-old from Whitewater Region, near a single car crash along the roadway with minor injuries.
He would be charged two counts before being released from custody:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs,
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand,
The accused is set to appear in Pembroke for a court date on March 1st.
