The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says a 79-year-old Pembroke resident has been hospitalized with serious injuries after they were struck by a vehicle. The OPP responded to the collision last night (January 17th, 2022), just after 5:30pm on Pembroke Street East. The initial investigation indicates a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street. The OPP closed Pembroke Street East between Howard Street and Angus Campbell Drive during the investigation. The 79-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the 34-year-old driver from Pembroke was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
