The first big dumping of snow for 2023 could be on the way. Environment Canada weather officials say that heavy snow will begin tonight. The storm is predicted to bring upwards of 15 to 30 cm of snow by the time it tapers off early Saturday morning. Snow falling across the area will intensify Thursday evening and will continue into Friday afternoon. Experts say to avoid travel if possible. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit, and a flashlight.
