With a Winter Storm Warning in effect for most of Southern Ontario and including the Ottawa Valley, the message from Canada’s weather watchers is pretty clear:
Environment Canada Meteorologist Steven Flisfeder tells myFM that road conditions and visibility will suffer this weekend thanks to heavy snow and strong winds.
Also, if you planned to head towards the Great Lakes to see family for the holidays, Flisfeder says to think twice because that portion of the province will likely take the brunt of the incoming storm.
Local forecasts see the Ottawa Valley bracing for 10 to 15 centimeters of snow and strong winds overnight on Thursday, with more snow or rain on the way Friday.
