The Town of Renfrew is mourning at the loss of one of it’s former Mayors.
According to an obituary posted by Goulet Funeral Home, Bill Ringrose passed away suddenly in his home on Wednesday, December 14th at the age 77.
Ringrose held a 25 year career with Ontario Hydro and spent 17 years on Renfrew’s Town Council, including a four year stint as Mayor from 2010 to 2014.
He was also known in the community for his efforts with the local Rotary Club and as a referee with the Renfrew Minor Hockey Association.
Visitations will be held at Goulet Funeral Home Monday, December 19th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and again from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church on Tuesday, December 20th at 10:30am.
