Interest in joining the Renfrew Public Library’s Board was so high, they had to make room.
Chief Librarian Kelly Thompson tells myFM that they recently had to ask Town Council to add two seats on their board so they could accept all six applicants who put their names forwards at the end of November.
Thompson says the new board pulls members in from many aspects of Renfrew’s community, as well as a representative from Horton Township.
Renfrew Public Library’s Board will be the driving force behind it’s policies, programs, and services for the next four years.
Town Council agreed to change the by-laws required to add everybody on for the Library Board at their meeting on Tuesday, December 6th, and the Board itself will gather for it’s first meeting on Tuesday, December 20th.
