EQAO assessments for the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board have been received for grade 3, 6, 9 and 10 students participating in the new, large-scale digital format.
The results point to RCCDSB students experiencing some learning loss over the course of the global pandemic, but the board remains proud of RCCDSB student performance in relation to the province as a whole.
Reading, Writing and Math tests for Grades 3, 6, 9 and OSSLT saw local participants exceed Ontario averages with one exception- which was a tie, as previously eligible OSSLT participants came in deadlocked at 85 percent.
Other results in eight categories of the testing averaged 9.75% ahead of the Provincial averages in favour of the RCCDSB student participants.
The Catholic Board maintains the 2021-2022 EQAO results are confirmation of its motto, “Schools to believe in.”
