Despite what you may have heard, Dolan’s Fabric Shop in Renfrew is not closing up just yet.
Third-generation owner Cathy Dolan says some might have gotten the wrong impression after word got out on social media that she was closing soon.
Some people thought that meant as soon as the end of October. That’s not quite true: she is selling the store and building but will continue to operate Dolan’s Fabric Shop until that happens.
As Dolan explains, after 25 years of running the family shop it’s time for her to slow down.
Dolan’s Fabric Shop is holding a 30 percent off sale on everything in store while Cathy looks for a buyer, using the opportunity to sell down her remaining stock.
After the sale happens, she’s planning on making the move into town for her next step in life.
Until then, Dolan says you can still pick up plenty of supply for crafting, quilting, sewing, and more at that 30% discount while their supplies last.
