Small Business Week wraps up on myFM, as we shop local with the Flower Factory.
Christina Ouellet says she opened up shop in downtown Renfrew twelve years ago, and sources her blooms locally from places like Dacre and along Whitton Road in Renfrew.
With just two people behind the Flower Factory, it’s important for them to plan ahead. Ouellet says they have to stay ready to meet the needs of their clients.
Ouellet says the holiday season is usually busy for the Raglan Street shop, and they make sure to sell more than just fresh local blooms for the occasion.
While they deliver year-round, The Flower Factory tend to hire some extra hands to help her small business meet demand.
Ouellet is also a big fan of the history behind their store at 177 Raglan Street, as the building used to house Donohue’s Art and Frame.
