As part of Small Business Week on 96.1 myFM, we’re looking at a small business that helps other small businesses.
Julie Villamere is the Employment Services Manager at the ontrac Employment Resource Centre. She tells myFM that they connect people seeking a job with local employers.
On top of preparing businesses for the process of hiring and onboarding new employees, Villamere says there are plenty of resources for job seekers as well.
She invites anyone looking for a change of careers to drop by their office or go online to access their job board, sign up for workshops and events, or learn skills like resume building and nailing the interview process in a job market that has adapted to online meetings.
Villamere says when it comes to their ability to match the right person to the right company, their results don’t lie.
The job you hunt for at ontrac doesn’t always have to be a long-term decision, either. Villamere says seasonal job postings for the winter are already pouring in.
Whether you’re looking for a short-term job, career, or you’re a small business looking take more staff on, Villamere says the get in touch with ontrac’s office on Argyle Street South, or head to their website.
