Local police want to make sure you make it home to your family this Thanksgiving.
Killaloe OPP tell myFM that the death toll along roads in the province has reached 268 heading into the month of October, up 24% from the same time last year, and bad decisions behind the wheel were the culprit for most of them.
The OPP will be out over the long weekend as part of Operation Impact, cracking down on the four behaviours that led to most of those deaths: drunk driving, distracted or aggressive driving, speeding, and not buckling up.
They remind you that this is one of the busiest weekends for traffic each year, and that reducing tragic loss of life can be done with just a little commitment to keeping our roads safe.
