A 70-year reign has been capped off with a riveting journey across the breadth of the British Isles as her majesty’s coffin made its journey from Balmoral Castle in Scotland, to now lie in state at the Palace of Westminster, where today’s (Wednesday’s) line for public viewing (has) stretched to become miles long.
Locally, Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack says one may sign a book of condolences at either the Library or Boyce Funeral Home.
Stack says one may also offer commemoration at the County of Renfrew Office in Pembroke.
Queen Elizabeth the Second’s state funeral will begin at 11AM British Summer Time (or 6AM locally) Monday, September 19th.
Mom and Dad will have to watch the solemn event on their own; Ontario will not be observing a public holiday, and as such, all school operations at the RCDSB will continue as normal for the duration of the day.
