The Renfrew Wolves have put out the word: The Valley Cottage Cup in on this Labour Day Weekend at the Ma-Te-Way Centre Arena.
Coach Ryan Leonard spoke with myFM about the first-ever showcase tournament for the Renfrew side to be held between September 2nd and the 4th.
With the CCHL season fast approaching, Coach Leonard says the tournament is all part of their preparations, and will cover both teams from both the Junior A and Under-18 levels of organized hockey.
The six team tournament will include the host Wolves, as well as the Carleton Place Canadians Junior A and Under 18 squads, plus the Powassan Voodoos and North Bay Trappers.
Leonard already has plans to expand the tournament to 10 or 12 teams next year, after the MAC Expansion project finishes and the second rink is installed at the arena.
Games get started on Friday, September 2nd, with tickets on sale for $15 for a day full of games or $30 for a weekend pass.
Get in touch with Coach Leonard for tickets at (705) 257-0132 or by email, renfrewwolves@gmail.com.
