Former Pembroke Lumber King and Hamilton Bulldogs forward Mason McTavish has been named Canada’s captain ahead of the upcoming world junior hockey championships in Edmonton. Canada opens the tournament on August 10 against Latvia at Rogers Place. The 10-country tournament will be minus Russia, which is barred from participating by the International Ice Hockey Federation because of that country’s invasion of Ukraine.
