The County of Renfrew is working on a bridge along Pucker Street in the Township of Greater Madawaska.
Work started this week and will continue into September.
The Scollard Bridge on Pucker Street will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians with detours in place.
Earlier this summer, County Council awarded the contract for work on the bridge to Bonnechere Excavating Incorporated (BEI) from Renfrew at a cost of $588,465 plus HST.
The County had budgeted $600,000 for the project.
The County of Renfrew says this is a major rehabilitation project and staff are apologizing for any inconvenience this may cause.
