There will be a fly fishing clinic hosted this week in the Ottawa Valley.
The event is part of the first ever Water and Dirt Festival.
The day will start with an introduction to the gear and participants will spend time learning to cast a fly line.
You’re asked to wear footwear that can get wet, bring a hat and safety or sunglasses.
The course will be about two and a half hours long and fly fishing equipment will be provided.
The fly fishing clinic will be held on Friday, August 5th with two time slots available.
You can register to go from 9:00am to 11:30am or 1:00pm to 3:30pm.
The cost is $50 per person with six spots available per session.
The event will be hosted by Algonquin Fly Fishing Premium Guide Service at Melissa Bishop Park on Lake Dore.
You can learn more or register for the event online here.
