Service at banks and public buildings in Renfrew will be the most affected by the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 1st.
The Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank, and Royal Canadian Bank in Renfrew all tell myFM that they will not open to observe the Monday holiday, as will the Renfrew Public Library and Town Hall.
Beer, wine, and spirits will also be a little more difficult to pick up because both the Beer Store and LCBO are taking the day off as well.
Getting groceries on Monday shouldn’t be too much of a hassle, as Walmart will open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm as usual. No Frills and Metro will be open as well, but with reduced hours. Metro will open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, while No Frills will take customers from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm.
Plan your prescription pickups ahead if you can, as Aikenheads Drug Store will be closed on Monday. Rexall will remain open, but only from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Stores are expected to resume standard hours of operations on Tuesday.
