Hydro One is reporting that a power outage that had hit Renfrew and neighbouring townships this morning has been mostly resolved.
Power went down for over 1250 customers in the area around six this morning, before returning for most people just after 7:30.
The power company says there’s still an isolated outage along Gillan Road and Jamieson Lane affecting around 40 homes as crews are working to put out a fire on a power pole. The latest estimate has power returning to those remaining homes by 2:00pm this afternoon.
Hydro One reports that high winds and thunderstorms have caused problems across the southern part of the province this morning.
