One driver made the mistake of getting behind the wheel while impaired early in the morning after Canada Day.
Killaloe police received a traffic complaint from the community just before one in the morning on July 2nd which led them to a car on Pog Lake Road in Algonquin Provincial Park.
After testing both on-site and later at the local OPP Detachment, the driver would get slapped with two separate drunk driving charges.
The 43-year-old from Orleans was later conditionally released, and will be back in Killaloe for an August 10th court date.
In the meantime, his car was impounded and driver’s license suspended for 90 days.
